Spiced Roasted Almonds
Last week I convinced Mike that we needed to buy some almonds because they would be “the perfect healthy snack”. But then I remembered that I don’t really love plain almonds… they are just so bland! So I decided to spice up the plain almonds by adding chili powder and cinnamon and roasting them in the oven. These turned out great! So, so tasty!
Spiced Roasted Almonds
– 1 cup plain almonds (can be blanched or unblanched)
– ½ tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
– ½ tbsp. chili powder
– 1 tsp. cinnamon
– ¼ tsp. salt
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
In a medium bowl toss the almonds with olive oil, chili powder, cinnamon and salt.
Bake on an ungreased baking sheet in the oven for 10 minutes, stirring 3 times.
Enjoy!
** Note: While almonds can be a healthy snack, it is important to remember that they are high in calories due to their high fat content. I would recommend a serving size of about 10 almonds. 🙂

This is a great idea, and great to know to limit how much I eat of them 🙂 Thanks!.
